A purpose‑driven firm at the intersection of private enterprise, public policy, and inclusive ecosystem development. Eight years operating Pakistan’s flagship incubators, conferences, and competitions — the rooms where the country’s next generation actually gets built.
Pakistani women remain disproportionately underbanked — a 30% gender gap in formal finance, only 1% of commercial loans reaching women‑led enterprises. The Bank the Unbanked Ideathon brought together students from business, design, psychology, and computer science for a non‑coding, design‑led sprint structured around three challenge tracks.
Twenty‑six submissions came in nationwide. Twelve were shortlisted. Nine teams reached the live finale. Three winning teams walked away with PKR 50,000 each — plus implementation‑ready blueprints MMBL is now actively reviewing for pilot.
“This ideathon provides critical industry exposure and practical insights often missing from traditional learning environments. I look forward to seeing more impactful ideathons from Change Mechanics.”
Five services. One operating principle: execute first, document second, advise third. Programmes generate the evidence. The evidence shapes the policy. The policy reaches the rooms we already operate.
How we’d approach a serious research mandate.
We’re builders, not a slow academic think‑tank. When a programme calls for evidence, we treat it as a live policy laboratory — combining numbers, voices, and specialist methods to get to a defensible answer.
Tools we reach for: trade gap analysis, SME benchmarking, econometric modeling against UN Comtrade and ITC data.
Tools we reach for: non‑exporter interviews, trade attaché focus groups, failure post‑mortems, deep‑dive case studies.
Tools we reach for: randomized controlled trials, value chain mapping, mystery shopping, multi‑city primary research.
