300 youth in KP, trained in shippable digital skills.

DECODE KP trained 300 young people from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the digital skills KP employers actually hire for — not certificate-chasing, real shippable capability in Cloud Computing, Flutter, and Power BI.

The gap

KP has a young, capable workforce and a growing private sector hungry for digital talent. The disconnect: most local training pipelines optimise for certificates over capability — graduates emerge with credentials but struggle in interviews and on the job. Employers were importing talent from other provinces or going short-staffed.

How we ran it

Three tracks chosen with employer input — Cloud Computing, Flutter mobile development, and Power BI. Curriculum benchmarked to what hiring managers actually screen for. Heavy weighting on women and underrepresented youth in the cohort selection. Trainers drawn from the operator network, not the lecturer pool.

The deliverable wasn't a certificate. It was the ability to walk into an interview and demonstrate working capability.

The outcomes

300 youth trained across the three tracks. A meaningful share of the cohort women — closing a participation gap that's structural in KP. The programme generated a hiring pipeline that local employers used, not a credential factory.
